Major Responsibilities:
; v' C2 j& `# z0 d• Work closely with executives and management teams to assist providing guidance, champion projects and organizational development to foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment. `: V7 W* q6 ~( X
Provide support to the manager on the delivery of full spectrum of HR duties including, but are not limited to the following areas:
1 [' a. M) A* \# x: H• Performance management – Provide guidance and advice to line managers in performance management and taking disciplinary actions
1 I( f1 r/ u7 f* m4 Y' l• Maintain Policy Compliance – Assist the manager in ensuring relevant HR-related documentation are handled in compliant with the statutory legal and company requirements; provide advice and assistance to managers on the interpretation and administration of HR-related policies and programs
8 N4 `( R) C3 K, U# m- F* m• Health & safety and disability management – Support WSIB Claims Management process, ensure incidents &/or accidents are handled timely to mitigate risk of penalty, partner closely with stores and the external Claim Consultant on the claim’s status.
: e/ G. J2 M8 A) z/ O o$ f4 U• Staff communications – Arrange, organize, and conduct independently staff forums on a regular basis to listen to their concerns, work with other departments to provide solutions and feedbacks, A, R# h% x c6 g8 S2 u
• Compensation & benefits – Contribute ideas to, support and execute initiates related to payroll, group insurance and benefits plans launch by Head Office on a timely manner- ]2 ?' d) M. u4 r- U
• Training & development – Actively involved in workshops and training to users based on their training needs
& j' k. c' e, E6 S8 S) W• Other HR project– Lead, participate and contribute to HR projects as assigned% b! n: I7 I5 Q3 H1 r2 h6 X

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements
8 }% r' `: J w( T Z0 P u• Possess at least 1 to 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience.2 n% a4 a+ f* i% f; P+ z6 v
• Possess familiarity with applicable labour legislation, health & safety legislation, human rights and worker's compensation policies and vast experience in handling employee/labour relations
# A: U+ ?6 |# E8 G3 l R• Business minded with good financial acumen & sound project management skills
4 S& x- t6 A4 T1 x/ L0 b& q• Previous experience in a fast-paced business environment, preferably in the retail industry or supermarket chain store operations
) ]. w$ O1 n) H# b \• Excellent interpersonal, and management skills and high professional standards for customer service and work quality4 ]- |; ?0 \. q% F+ l; x
• Able to handle confidential information professionally and in an ethical manner7 a+ Y3 b8 G1 {
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
